Design
So, a new leak has surfaced about the New iPhone 17 Air, and what caught my eye was the battery. It looks super slim—way thinner than anything we’ve seen on recent iPhones. If this leak is legit, it’s pretty clear Apple’s going for an ultra-slim, lightweight design with this one. I kind of get MacBook Air vibes from it—how Apple made that feel featherlight without cutting too many corners.

Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but this leak kind of fits with the talk we’ve been hearing about a fresh design. If they really are going with a thinner battery, there might be some compromises—maybe slightly less battery life—but it could also make the phone feel more balanced and less bulky in your hand. Some rumors even mention better heat management, which would be great if you’re someone who games or runs a lot of heavy apps. Personally, I’d love to see something that’s easier to use one-handed again. The older iPhones felt more manageable, and I kinda miss that.
Battery & Performance
Naturally, the concern with a thinner battery is how well it holds up in daily use. Will it last all day? Or are we going back to charging mid-afternoon? Apple’s efficiency has improved over the years, especially with their custom chips, so maybe they’ll pull it off. But for now, that’s a question mark.
Price
No word on pricing yet, but if Apple follows its usual pattern, the New iPhone 17 Air could be a premium model—maybe even pricier than the base iPhone 17. I’d expect it to be targeted at folks who care more about design and portability than all-day gaming or pro camera features.
