Design
I swung by the Tesla Diner the other day—kept seeing people post about it, so figured I’d check it out. Looks great from the outside, but as soon as I walked in, I was kinda like… eh, not really feeling it. It’s clean and shiny, but kinda sterile? Like, not the kind of place you’d want to sit and hang out for long. It felt more like I was waiting for a service appointment than about to eat a burger. Just didn’t have much personality.

They’ve got EV chargers out front, obviously. And this massive screen playing old black-and-white movies, which was actually kinda fun. The menu’s full of Tesla puns (some of them a little cringe, not gonna lie). I went with a burger and fries combo—nothing too wild. It looked better on the board than on the plate.
Food + Service
So… this part wasn’t great. Took like 20, maybe 25 minutes to get the food. And when it finally came, the burger was just warm—not hot. Fries were decent but nothing special. The staff seemed stressed, and one of them forgot my buddy’s drink. We had to ask again. You could tell they were still getting the hang of things, which is fair. Still, felt messy.
Price
I dropped just under 30 bucks for my meal. That’s a lot. I mean, it’s a diner, not a steakhouse. At that price, you’d expect something either huge or delicious. This was neither.
Final Thoughts
Look, I think it’s a cool idea, but it’s not really working yet. If you’re a Tesla fan and just want to say you went, sure. But if you’re hungry and want a good meal, probably better to go somewhere else. Maybe it’ll improve after a few months, who knows.
